January Teen Club News

My prayer is that you are as excited as I am for this year's winter retreat!!  One of the topics that we will be discussing is:  What does God expect from us?  And my prayer is that as we look at this topic we will not only be able to answer that question as believers, but that we will also be willing to put those answers into action.  One of the phrases you will hear is this, *We obey God when we think highly of God*.  We only obey and imitate that which we value or highly esteem.  I also pray that we walk away from this weekend with a view of God that can only cause us to thirst after Him, and that He will be the One to truly satisfy.
*We will be meeting at MCC on Friday, January 6th, at 5:30PM.  Please be sure and pick up your "What to Bring" list.  We will be returning back to MCC on Sunday at noon.  Be ready for an amazing weekend!!

Fort Wayne Rescue Mission

FWRM & Charis House ministries are on Friday, January 27th.  We will be leaving MCC at
5:30pm and return by 10:00pm.  Please see Erin Cole or Maddie Andrews for ways you can help at Charis House and Caleb Anderson for FWRM.

Words of Wisdom

As you may know, it has been quite an amazing few weeks here around MCC.  For all the notes, text and words of encouragement and prayer, I want to say thank you!  We are truly blessed by you who are 'encouragers'!  One thing that has been a great JOY in my office has been reading through different "words of wisdom" or "encouraging thoughts" that Pastor Terry had said, written out, or even copied of someone else...LOL.  I would love to share some of those thoughts with you at the start of this 2012 year.
*God answers knee-mail.
*Pray, read and trust.  That's a powerful 3-step plan for life.  Pray to Jesus, seek the Word of Truth, and trust God today.
*Faith keeps the man who keeps the faith.
*A man who is kicking seldom has a leg to stand on.
*You will always make a mountain out of a molehill when you throw dirt at other people.  The mud tosser never has clean hands.
*The more you complain, the less you obtain.
*Your past can't hurt you, but your attitude towards it

High/Low

High/Low is for girls only this month.  It will be on Thursday, the 19th, from 6-9pm.  We will be making fleece blankets for the Charis House ministry and making Valentine cards,  Please bring card making supplies to share & your creativity!
